Executive Finance Manager Job Description
About the Role: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Executive Finance Manager to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial planning, analysis, and reporting activities of the company. You will work closely with senior management to provide strategic financial guidance, ensure compliance with regulations, and drive profitability. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with a proven track record of success in financial management, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and concisely. Key Responsibilities: * Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): Develop and manage the annual budget, forecasts, and long-range financial plans. Analyze financial performance against targets, identify trends and variances, and provide insightful recommendations for improvement. Build and maintain financial models to support strategic decision-making. * Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports. Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and other regulatory requirements. Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes. * Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, collaborating with department heads to develop realistic and achievable financial targets. Monitor budget performance and provide regular updates to senior management. Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements. * Financial Analysis & Decision Support: Provide financial analysis and support to senior management on strategic initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions, capital investments, and new product development. Evaluate the financial impact of proposed projects and provide recommendations based on sound financial principles. * Compliance & Internal Controls: Ensure compliance with all applicable financial regulations and internal control policies. Develop and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets. Manage the annual audit process. * Team Leadership & Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of finance professionals. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment. Provide training and guidance to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge. * Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including senior management, department heads, and other key personnel. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve company objectives. Qualifications: * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred. * Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in financial management, with at least 3 years in a management role. * Strong knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles. * Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis. * Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. * Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. * Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and other financial software. * Proven ability to lead and manage a team. * CPA or CMA certification preferred.
